I thought I was being very fair with my reply to your comment, favouring neither ecosystem, your perception that "professionals" run Macs is what fuels the divide, choosing to align yourself with professionals and therefore placing yourself in the rarified air superior to those amateur PC users is the whole PC Vs Mac debate in a nutshell. My current main rig outperforms my talent by a large margin so I'm not too bothered. The new Apple silicon is an interesting development, and something they needed to do, but will Avid abandon the PC market? Only they know where their profit comes from.
